Nebojša Romčević graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade in 1987. He got his M.Sc. at the Faculty of Physics in 1991. defending his thesis named Physics of impurities autolocalized states in Pb1-xSnxTe(In). He earned his PhD in 1997. at the Faculty of Phyiscs on the topic: Light absorption and scattering on impurity levels in doped lead telluride based semiconductors.
He has rich professional experience as a researcher, gaining highest titles – Full Research Professor at the Insitute of Physics, as well as Director in two companies: Kristal Infiz ltd and CDI ltd.
He is a member of several professional associations: American Nano Society, Serbian Physical Society (Secretary from 2004 to 2006), ETRAN Society and Materials Research Society.
He holds a patent: Crystal growth chamber for Czochralski method; Document of the small patent – No. 885 MP, 2007: Intellectual Property Office, Republic of Serbia

Dr. Biljana Babić

Biljana Babić is Research Professor at the Institute of Physics Belgrade, University of Belgrade. She received engineering, MSc and PhD degrees in chemistry and chemical technologies from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade. The fields of research are materials, surface and colloid science and electrochemistry, with emphasis on synthesis and characterization of carbon based, oxide and non-oxide ceramics materials, as well as porous materials and their composites. Author of over 120 peer-reviewed international publications. Dr Biljana Babic was the head of the one fundamental project and three innovative projects. In the period of 2012-2015, she was the leader of the project package of the FP7 project. Also, Dr Biljana Babic was the supervisor of two doctoral dissertation and one master work. She achieved significant international collaboration.

Maja Romčević graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade in 1991. In 1998. she got her M.Sc. degree at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering with the thesis Influence of gallium doping on the optical and transport properties of lead telluride. She earned her Ph.D. degree in 2001 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, defending her thesis Optical and transport properties of alloys based on lead telluride and mercury.

The analysis of the vibrational properties of semiconductor bulk crystals, thin films, nanoparticles and nanostructures using Raman, Far – infrared spectroscopy and Galvanomagnetic measurements in wide temperature range.

Branka Hadžić graduated from the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade in 2004. In 2007. she got her M.Sc. degree at the Faculty of Physics with the thesis Vibration spectroscopy of Рb1-хМnхТе obtained by Bridgman method and molecular beam epitaxy. She earned her Ph.D. degree in 2009 at the Faculty of Physics, defending her thesis Vibration spectroscopy of Рb1-хМnхТе obtained by molecular beam epitaxy and nanodimensional ZnO doped with Mn, Co and Fe.

Dr. Jelena Mitrić

Jelena graduated at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade in 2016 and has also completed her Master’s studies at the same University in 2017 in just 9 months, where she was the first in her generation to defend her master thesis. She won an annual award for the best defended bachelor thesis in the field of Physical Chemistry in February 2021. Jelena earned her PhD degree in Physical Chemistry in just 3.5 years and became one of the youngest graduated doctors in Faculty of Physical Chemistry as well as at the Institute of Physics.
She started working at the Institute of Physics in 2017 as a Junior Researcher, and now holds a title of Assistant Research Professor.
